OVERVIEW
FareStart provides job training and wraparound services to individuals experiencing barriers to employment so that they have the tools, training, and support needed to gain long-term employment.
FareStart also prepares and delivers thousands of meals nearly every day to Seattle area nonprofits, shelters, respite centers, youth and adult daycare centers and schools.
Volunteer Ambassadors promote FareStart to the community, engage people and get them excited and informed about FareStart’s work.
This is a speaking role, using script provided speak for 3-5 minutes on what FareStart is doing in the community.
DUTIES
· Stay up to date on current information and news about the organization by reading material provided by the Volunteer Department
· Engage with the public to promote FareStart programs, recruit volunteers and answer questions.
TIME COMMITMENT & LOCATION
· 10:00am-11:00am--speak from 10:15am-10:20am
· Shoreline Unitarian Universalist Church
QUALIFICATIONS
· Excellent communication skills and comfortable speaking in front of people
· 18 years of age or older
