OVERVIEW
FareStart provides job training and wraparound services to individuals experiencing barriers to employment so that they have the tools, training, and support needed to gain long-term employment.
FareStart also prepares and delivers thousands of meals nearly every day to Seattle area nonprofits, shelters, respite centers, youth and adult daycare centers and schools.
Volunteer Ambassadors promote FareStart to the community, engage people and get them excited and informed about FareStart’s work.
DUTIES
· Stay up to date on current information and news about the organization by reading material provided by the Volunteer Department
· Pick up tabling kit, set-up information table at community events, break down tabling and return kit to 700 Viriginia location.
· Engage with the public to promote FareStart programs, recruit volunteers and answer questions.
TIME COMMITMENT & LOCATION
· 5:00pm-9:00pm Friday, June 21
· Lynwood Event Center 3711 196th St SW, Lynwood WA
REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS
· Excellent communication skills and comfortable speaking with people
· Able to pick up and drop off tabling kit and set-up information table
· 18 years of age or older
· Must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and submit proof to FareStart
