OVERVIEW
Guest Chef Night pairs premier local chefs with FareStart students to create a three-course meal served by volunteer community members. All revenue and donations from Guest Chef Night support FareStart's job training and placement programs.
DUTIES
Beverage servers are equipped to provide knowledgeable suggestions about wine and answer
any questions that guests may have regarding wine pairings.
• Pour and serve wine, beer, and pre batched cocktails as ordered via section captains.
• Act as “bar back” refilling glassware as needed.
• End of Service: Place unused wine glasses in Pedersen’s racks and move to “rentals” area of
kitchen, return beverage trays to beverage line, recork used wine, wipe down all surfaces
behind bar with sanitizer, empty trash/recycling.

• Thursday 4:00pm-10:00pm

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 21 + years of age
• Class 12 MAST WA alcohol servers permit, submitted on volunteer portal prior to shift and
shown when checking in for the evening. We can assist you in getting your permit, it only takes a couple of hours and the class and test can be taken from home.
• Must agree to adhere to FareStart volunteer alcohol server policy and procedures
• Must agree to adhere to volunteer expectations
• Attire: Sturdy, closed toed, non-slip shoes, no exposed underarms or midriffs, skirts or
shorts no shorter than 6 inches above the knee.
