About the Opportunity:
Spend time in one of Seattle’s most vibrant neighborhood markets while representing FareStart! As an Information Booth Ambassador, you’ll engage with community members, share our mission, and invite others to get involved through volunteering, dining, and supporting our programs.
What You’ll Do:
- Set up and staff the FareStart information table
- Greet market visitors and spark conversation about FareStart
- Share information about our job training programs, social enterprise businesses, and community impact
- Answer questions and direct interested folks to volunteer, donate, or learn more
- Help with light set-up and breakdown of materials
Ideal Volunteer:
- Friendly, approachable, and comfortable starting conversations with the public
- Passionate about community, food systems, or social impact
- Able to represent FareStart with enthusiasm and clarity (training and talking points provided)
- Reliable and able to stand for the duration of the shift
Impact:
You’ll help raise awareness about FareStart’s work transforming lives through food, job training, and community meals—connecting more people to meaningful ways to get involved.
Additional Details:
- This is an outdoor role—please dress for the weather
- No heavy lifting required
- Materials and support provided by staff
