Description

About the Opportunity:
Join FareStart as an Information Booth Ambassador at a local high school’s Career & Community Fair! As an ambassador, you’ll represent FareStart and help inspire the next generation to get involved.

What You’ll Do:

  • Set up and staff the FareStart information table
  • Share information about FareStart’s mission, job training programs, and volunteer opportunities
  • Engage with students in a friendly, approachable way
  • Answer questions and provide basic guidance on how to get involved
  • Help break down materials at the end of the event

Ideal Volunteer:

  • Comfortable talking with high school-aged youth
  • Friendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic about community engagement
  • Able to speak clearly about FareStart (training/talking points provided)
  • Spanish-speaking skills are a plus but not required

Impact:
You’ll help students explore pathways to employment, volunteerism, and community connection—opening doors to opportunities they may not have known existed.

Additional Details:

  • This is an outdoor event (weather permitting), so dress accordingly
  • Materials and talking points will be provided in advance
